24/7 Customer opens UK office
This announcement comes in wake of a reported
$30 million multiyear contract win with a large European insurance
client.

BANGALORE: 24/7 Customer has set foot on European
market with the opening of a sales and marketing office in London.
The Vice President, Operations of the company in India, TS Hariharan,
has been relocated to head the UK office.
"The opening of this UK office demonstrates
our belief in the tremendous potential for successful BPO relationships
in the growing European market. Beyond facilitating new sales efforts
in the continent, our new UK office will allow increased customer
contact and relationship management for our existing European clients
and our future ones to come," said PV Kannan, CEO of 24/7 Customer.
The expansion announcement comes in the light
of a reported $30 million multiyear contract win with a large European
insurance client for the provision of contact center and back office
claims processing services. The company expects to contribute $7
million of its total $35 million revenue projected by the company
for fiscal 2004. The company plans to increase it head count to
2,000 from the present 1,500.
According to TS Hariharan, 24/7 Customer UK Country
Head, "We have seen a tremendous rise in the number of leading
European firms considering BPO. With the addition of our third European
client and the corresponding increase in our European client revenue
contribution, we felt the immediate need for a dedicated European
presence."
